Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how WIA (“WIA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website or work with us.

WIA is a video content business based in Addlestone, Surrey, operated by Ayo Ayorinde (a sole trader trading as WIA). We are the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.

If you have any questions about this policy or the information we hold about you, contact us at hello@whoisayo.co.

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following:

  • Information you give us — when you complete our enquiry/contact form or email us: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and any details you share about your project.
  • Footage and photographs — when we film or photograph you, or people at your event, as part of a project. This may include images, video and audio of identifiable individuals.
  • Technical information — when you visit our website, limited data such as your device type, browser and how you use the site may be collected through cookies and, in future, analytics tools (see Section 8).

2. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and communicate with you
  • Plan, produce and deliver the services you've asked for
  • Send invoices and manage payments
  • Show completed work in our portfolio and marketing, where we have the right or your permission to do so (see Section 6)
  • Understand and improve how our website is used
  • Send you marketing about WIA — only if you've agreed to receive it

3. Our lawful basis for using your data

Under UK GDPR, we rely on:

  • Consent — where you've agreed (for example, to marketing, or to us using footage of you)
  • Contract — where we need your data to deliver a service you've requested
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and run our business, in a way that doesn't override your rights

4. Who we share your data with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run WIA, including:

  • Vercel — our website hosting provider
  • Resend — the service that delivers enquiry form submissions to us by email
  • Zoho Mail — our email provider, where we receive and store correspondence with you
  • Cloudinary — our video hosting provider, used to store and deliver video content
  • Analytics providers — if and when we introduce website analytics in future (see Section 8)

These providers only process your data on our instructions. Some may store data outside the UK; where they do, we take steps to ensure it is protected to UK standards.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that don't lead to a project: we keep these for 24 months after your last contact with us, then delete them.
  • Client records and project footage: we keep these indefinitely, so we can maintain our portfolio, meet accounting and legal obligations, and reference past work. You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time (see Section 7), subject to any legal records we're required to keep.

6. Filming, footage and your image

Because we produce video, we often capture footage of identifiable people.

  • Where you are our client, our right to use the resulting footage — including in our portfolio and marketing — is set out in your project agreement or our Terms.
  • Where we film other people at your event or project, we ask you to make them aware that filming is taking place.
  • If you appear in our footage and would like to discuss how it's used, contact us at hello@whoisayo.co.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Object to or restrict how we use it
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where we rely on consent)

To exercise any of these, email hello@whoisayo.co. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies to function properly. We do not currently use analytics tools, but we plan to introduce them (such as Google Analytics) in future to understand how our site is used. When we do, they may set cookies that collect anonymous usage data. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we will provide a cookie notice on the site.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this page, along with the date it was last updated.

10. Contact
